A quick and accessible sequence to relieve

neck and shoulder tension.

Hey there, Reader!

🌟 Happy Monday, friends! 🌟 … and welcome to another edition of our ongoing mini-series, Mobility Monday! We figured we could make the transition into the week a little sweeter by sharing ✨FREE✨ movement and mobility sequences and techniques with you all.

Lots of you have let us know that you’d love more techniques that provide neck and shoulder tension relief… if that’s you, you’re going to love this week’s quick and accessible sequence! Neck tension is a common by-product of the postural demands of modern life, but luckily there are reliable techniques to ease muscular tension and improve posture.

Today’s mini-flow includes movements to mobilize the neck, upper back, and shoulders. Since all these parts of the body are connected, getting some movement into one area automatically helps to create ease in the others! Try this out for general tension relief, to carve out a mindful self-care break in your day, or pretty much anytime you’ve been working at your computer for a while.

Let us know how this goes for you if you give it a try! At just 11 minutes long, this little sequence is a perfect way to break up your desk time this week.

Been hitting the weights? This will feel amazing after an upper body or overhead workout 🏋️ Runners and cyclists: feeling hunched over after hitting the trails? This will help work out the kinks 🏃 🚴 Moms - have accumulated tension from caring for your baby? We got you! Simply click on the image below to play the video.

(** Please note that not every movement is suitable for all bodies. Please listen to your body and defer to your medical provider if you have any concerns, injuries, or conditions that affect your movement, or are unsure if a particular movement is safe for you! **)
